Con Edison, which operates one of the world's most complex urban energy systems, is at the center of efforts to meet rising electricity demand while advancing ambitious decarbonization goals. The New York-based company is investing heavily in grid modernization, transmission and distributed energy resources, even as constrained infrastructure, rising peak demand and the cost of upgrades place increasing pressure on customer bills. 

Cawley is navigating a period defined by electrification, digital load growth and heightened scrutiny over affordability, reliability and resilience.
