Constellation Energy, the largest operator of U.S. nuclear power plants, has been a top earner in the S&P 500 this year. The Baltimore, Maryland-based company is widely viewed by investors as well positioned to benefit from rising demand for carbon-free energy for data centers amid the generative AI boom, and for industries in the process of electrification, including transportation. Dominguez, who took the top job two years ago when Constellation separated from Exelon Corp, talks to U.S. Energy Correspondent Laila Kearney about the company’s plans to meet forecast record U.S. power demand, across its nuclear, hydro, wind and solar portfolios.
