Underwriting has always been about balancing risk. Right now, that balance is being tested like never before.
The soft market is back, data foundations are broken, the talent pipeline is thinning, and everyone has an opinion about what AI should and shouldn’t be allowed to do. Across all of this, geopolitical uncertainty is reshaping what protection even means.
Individually, these are problems. Together, they are a reckoning.
Reuters Events: Connected Underwriting USA is the only event built entirely for the people who must find solutions to all of it. 200+ leaders who recognise one enduring truth: insurance only fulfils its promise when underwriters are empowered to act confidently, intelligently, and together.
Walk away with the clarity to act on AI, hold your discipline and build a workforce where human judgement and new technology make stronger decisions together.
This is the path to a more connected industry. This is Connected Underwriting USA.
As underwriters, we battle fragmented data, outdated processes, and pressure to bring in new technology - without losing the trust of our customers.
Coming together as a community allows us to share insights, sharpen our skills, and spark innovation. Connected, we’re not just reacting to risk – we’re shaping the future of our industry.
I enjoyed the #ConnectedUW conference immensely. The conference “moved” from topic to topic which kept the energy up with high-density info and actionable intel. I was able to reconnect with Valerie Turpin who brought plenty of real-world insights into the changing landscape of underwriting. And I trust we brought the energy too! The conference produced a lot of insights for AmRisc as we navigate this next phase of AI integration. This was the first #ConnectedUW conference – but it didn’t seem like it.
I really appreciated the specialized nature of Connected Underwriting USA – the attendees were true experts who are actively advancing automation in underwriting. The diversity of ideas and experiences shared sparked several takeaways I can apply in my own work, particularly around leveraging AI-driven data enrichment to streamline risk assessment. It was refreshing to be part of such a focused, forward-looking discussion, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone shaping the future of underwriting.
