The Reuters IMPACT Climate Action Council is born out of need to marry the actors driving change with a trusted platform capable of reaching millions around the world.  

Anchored by trust, and accessible to all we enable changemakers to learn, advise, and lead. 

What is it?   
 

An influential group of executives, leaders, and changemakers who speak at and help to shape the Reuters IMPACT agenda, whilst contributing to business intelligence and news via Reuters.com, and the Reuters research platform.  
 

Purpose:  
 

To set the climate action agenda and contribute to the biggest questions facing global leaders to create solution-driven outcomes that serve executives throughout the year.  

Reuters IMPACT Climate Council is a coalition of influential business executives, political leaders, and changemakers united by a common goal: driving real climate action. 

The Council’s mandate is to drive cross-industry collaboration and courageous decision-making for a climate-positive future. Council members, who will meet several times a year to debate potential solutions to the climate crisis, will share their insights and experience at the Reuters IMPACT in London.

The world is at a critical juncture, facing an unprecedented climate emergency. A flood of misinformation, mistrust and noise has contributed to a disconnect between governments, big business and society. As the impacts of anthropogenic climate change continue to increase, so too does division around what action should be taken and where responsibilities should lie.

Reuters IMPACT Climate Council is born out of the need to bridge the gaps between the essential drivers of change, as well as to create a trusted platform capable of reaching millions around the world. The Council's cross-ecosystem leadership will help shape executive decision-making and business intelligence via quarterly updates, publications and world-leading events and broadcasts.
